Moka Studio

Moka Studio is a multidisciplinary creative practice established in 2020 by Rossella Petrini, bringing together fashion, craft, visual communication, and experimentation.

While Rossella focuses on upcycling, hand embroidery, garment reconstruction, and working with second-hand and deadstock materials, my work as a designer at Moka explores graphic design, illustration, animation, photography, and self-published magazines. Together, we move between clothing, objects, images, and printed matter, exploring new possibilities for existing materials and ideas.

In 2025, Moka participated in Melbourne Fashion Week through MINDPOPUP. In August 2026, this exploration continued with Spazzatura, an exhibition at Border Space in Sydney examining waste, excess, and overlooked materials through garments, objects, images, and music.

Influenced by skateboarding and its DIY attitude, Moka embraces imperfection, resourcefulness, and experimentation. Our work brings fashion and visual culture together through a shared interest in reuse, alternative perspectives, and creative expression.
